When activated, the radio automatically tunes to emergency Channel 16 and includes a single-push call button to quickly send a distress message. The SR203 with lithium primary battery provides exceptional battery life of over 16 hours (@ -4°F / -20°C) and exceeds GMDSS requirements. The battery protection tab allows the primary battery to remain attached without losing charge; break the red protective tab to make the radio ready.
